Why ĢƵCollege?
ĢƵCollege’s Histologic Technology program offers classes ranging from the chemistry of fixation, anatomy, and microtomy to cellular biology and immunohistochemical staining. No idea what we’re talking about? All the more reason to start the six-term histologic technology curriculum at PC.
PC offers an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) as well as a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Histologic Technology. Graduates may go on to gain national certification as a histologic technician through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Future working environments include healthcare facilities and laboratories.

General Information
The Histologic Technology program is a popular program here at ĢƵCollege. Students are accepted into the program twice a year. The program has a competitive bi-annual application process. Students accepted into the program would begin the program in January for Saturday attendance and in August for Tuesday & Thursday attendance. Classes are held at ĢƵCollege with the remainder of the theoretical coursework completed online. Clinical rotations average 20-30 hours per week. The program lasts approximately 10-11 months.
The application process also requires a criminal background check via the obtaining of a Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
If accepted, applicants will also need CPR certification at the Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer level, and a wellness checkup with a doctor, with documented proof of current immunizations and updated tuberculosis testing.
